This project goal was to create a ‘Centennial Story’ using only typography. As a child, I played with Lincoln Logs often, without knowing what their intended purpose was. With this project, my goal is to expand the perception of what Lincoln Logs can be used to create. Keeping this goal in mind, this project will be an add-on to the Lincoln Logs 100th Anniversary tin. The outcome was a typeface using Lincoln Log pieces, inspired by a photo of myself using them to spell my name as a young child. This typeface is used in a commemorative poster and alphabet book celebrating the 100th anniversary of Lincoln Logs. The chosen words will be related to Lincoln Logs’ history and uses. These two pieces are designed to be included in the 100th Anniversary Tin. Student project completed in 2018
